Hotel operational audit and mystery guest
Review procedures and the guest journey to identify failures that require verifiable correction.
Operational evidence
An audit examines how procedures are performed, what evidence is retained and how exceptions are handled. Scope may include front desk, rooms, maintenance, purchasing and commercial coordination. Findings should distinguish evidence, impact and corrective action.
Mystery guest review
An unannounced guest visit can assess the experience from inquiry and booking to departure. Criteria, observation points and evidence requirements are agreed in advance. The Worldfolio documented JL Consulting’s mystery shopper work in 2012; historical coverage does not define the scope of a current engagement.
Verify closure
Corrective action requires subsequent evidence and observation. Training the team or issuing a report does not by itself prove that the problem has been resolved. Priorities should reflect risk and effects on guests and operations.
